Woodbridge History

Woodbridge was founded in 1978, and immediately adopted an aggressive growth strategy. Within the first five years, the company acquired additional facilities throughout Canada. In 1984, Woodbridge opened its first plant in the United States with more plants established soon after. By 1989, Woodbridge had expanded its operations to Mexico, Europe and South America, and in the late 1990s and early 2000s, it further expanded into Asia, opening locations in both Japan and China.

Today, Woodbridge operates plants and offices globally, and has developed joint venture partnerships to meet the demands of its customers efficiently and effectively. Through collaboration with specialty suppliers, Woodbridge delivers fully integrated systems and solutions and has expanded product offerings, giving the company the capability to be the sole supplier for all its customers' needs.

Throughout Woodbridge's growth and evolution, its core values and principles remained the same: A commitment to serving communities and creating a better environment for all. WoodbridgeCARES was founded as a company-wide volunteer and philanthropy initiative based on community involvement. Additionally, Woodbridge has been a leader in creating more sustainable products and has been recognized year after year for its dedication and commitment.

Starting as a small-town factory just north of Toronto with only 380 teammates, Woodbridge has grown into a global presence with 44 locations in nine countries, with more than 7,000 teammates serving 600 customers worldwide.

Woodbridge's evolution continues as we look forward to the challenges of the future.
