MISSISSAUGA, Ontario, Canada & TROY, Mich., September 5, 2023 – Woodbridge, a global provider of innovative solutions, announced the strengthening of its Global Leadership Team with the promotions of Irineu Barros as Vice President/General Manager of South America, Bill Drury as Vice President/General Manager for Asia, and Rob Sager as Vice President/General Manager of Flexible Foam, Flame Lamination and Engineered Composites.
Barros has been promoted from General Manager to Vice President/General Manager of South America. Barros has been a member of the Woodbridge team since 2000 and has served in various roles. He started as a Process Technician but quickly climbed the ranks, spending a year in Manchester, UK, as a Process Engineer. In 2008, Barros became the Plant Manager at Woodbridge's Sao Bernardo and Caçapava, Brazil sites and helped grow the cut-and-sew operation in the region. In 2018, he was promoted to Manufacturing Director, Molded Foam, South America, and successfully implemented and developed the Zanathane business in Brazil.
Woodbridge has announced the appointment of Drury as the new Vice President/General Manager for Asia. In his expanded position, Drury will be responsible for overseeing the company's expansion strategy in the region. With a wealth of experience, Drury has previously led the successful opening of Woodbridge's facility in Tianjin, China. He joined the company in 2021 as General Manager for China, having previously held the position of Director of Operations at American Axle & Manufacturing in Mexico. Drury also worked at Magna Powertrain as General Manager for the company's sites in Tianjin and Changzhou, China.
Sager has been named the new Vice President/General Manager of Flexible Foam, Flame Lamination, and Engineered Composites. With this new role, Sager will be responsible for technical direction within the business unit, in addition to his other responsibilities. Sager has been with Woodbridge since 1994, starting as a Packaging Specialist in Molded Foam, and has since held various positions in commercial, program management, logistics, and plant management. He has also worked as the General Manager of the Engineered Composites start-up in Wuxi, China, for three years. Before this new appointment, Sager was the General Manager of Flexible Foam & Lamination.
