New President and Chief Executive Officer of The Woodbridge Group

Mississauga, Ontario, February 19, 2014 – The Board of Directors for The Woodbridge Group is announcing today that after fifteen years as President and Chief Executive Officer of The Woodbridge Group, Bob Magee has made a decision to step down, effective February 28, 2014. He will however continue to act as Chairman of the Board.

The Board of Directors is also pleased to announce that Charles Daly has been promoted to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of The Woodbridge Group effective March 1, 2014.

Charles Daly has been a vital part of Woodbridge since joining the company in 1987, being promoted to a number of increasingly senior positions throughout the organization. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of The Woodbridge Group of Companies, a position he has held since 2009.

Charles began his career with Woodbridge in Plant Management, moving to Manufacturing Director, Commercial Director and Business Unit President. He is well-acquainted with all aspects of Woodbridge’s operations and brings strong business expertise and leadership skills to this new position. Charles is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and holds a Bachelor Degree in Business. Charles will be based out of the head office in Mississauga, Ontario. He and his wife Lisa will be relocating to the Toronto area.

Bob Magee has served as Chairman of the Board for over five years in addition to holding the position of President and CEO of the company for fifteen years. His stellar leadership is known and respected throughout the entire organization and industry.

Bob joined Monsanto Canada Ltd. in 1978 as a Process Engineer and transferred to Woodbridge Foam Corporation through an acquisition. That transfer proved to be fortuitous for Woodbridge. In the thirty-six years that Bob has been with the company, The Woodbridge Group has evolved into a multi-business manufacturing company, with 60 manufacturing facilities around the world and a commercial presence in over 17 countries.

In his years of leadership at Woodbridge, Bob has established a widespread reputation for his strong commitment to Health, Safety & Environment, People Leadership, and Science & Technology in guiding the international growth of the corporation.

The Board of Directors is acknowledging Bob’s tremendous contribution to Woodbridge, and congratulates Charles on his new appointment.
